Information for 8th grade parents and guardians:
On May 29 and 30th the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment- Science (NJSLA-S) will be administered to all 8th grade students. The assessment will be approximately 80 minutes each day and will measure student proficiency based on New Jersey State Science Standards.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE 8TH GRADE DINNER DANCE
Sayreville Middle School 8th Grade Dinner Dance June 1, 2018
- Due to parking lot space limitations at the middle school pick up and drop off for the dinner dance will take place at Sayreville War Memorial High School.
- Students are to arrive at the high school by 5:00pm.
- Buses will depart promptly at 5:30pm.
- Parking for all parents will be in the main lot located on the side of the high school. Upon drop off students are to walk on the sidewalk to the back of the high school and report to the high school cafeteria to wait until they are called to board the buses.
- Parents should be at the high school no later than 10:20pm to pick up their children. Please park in the main high school lot to ensure student safety. The buses will drop off the students in the back of the building.
- All students must be in school Friday June 1st in order to attend the dinner dance.
- Friday June 1st is a regular full day of school. If you chose to pick your child up early that is fine but all students must remain in school until 12:00pm. Early pick up procedures will be sent out via email the week of the dance.
- Dinner Dance Tickets will be given out in homeroom the morning of the dance.
- If you have purchased a picture package your child will be given a card with their appointment time. Students will receive the cards in homeroom Thursday 5/17.
